Chugach Green Energy was started by Mitchell Roth and Jim Henderson to promote the development of renewable energy in Alaska as a way to reduce utility bills and harmful emissions. Our goal is for Chugach Electric to generate 100% of  its average electrical load from renewable sources. The elimination of fossil fuel  costs protects consumers from market price spikes and results in lower, stable overall electric rates. We will be posting news and reference information related to renewable energy projects in Alaska on this website and welcome your contributions to making Alaska a green energy leader.
